I had a C grade in Advanced Calculus 2 (two credits (course with lowest no of credit in my program) while the others are A/B. I have 3.68/4.00 GPA overall and gmat quant 85 (89 percentile).
Should I give adcom the explanation for this C grade? or just ignore it

Hi. I would ignore it. I don't think many of your classmates have taken pre-calculus, let alone Calculus 2.
GPA of 3.68 is competitive for pretty much all programs except maybe some crazy PhD in Math or Physics so I don't think this warrants an explanation but if you feel like it, it won't hurt to have it and provide something brief. Usually you want to stick to 2-3 sentences explaining it very objectively and with a good cause/reason.
Bottom line, you don't have to do it, but if you do it, it won't hurt.

If your other grades and GMAT scores are strong, you don’t need to explain the C grade unless there’s a relevant reason. Admissions committees usually focus on your overall performance, so if it’s just one lower grade, it’s best to highlight your strengths instead.
