Hi there !
A very Happy new year to all.
I am a Chartered Accountant with over 3 years of experience. I am looking for a broad level profile evaluation for 2 years US fall 2019 program. Kindly help me with:
1. Does my profile stand any chance and in which schools?
2. Which schools I should be looking at with what level of GMAT (as of now, an ambitious score would be 700 for me)
3. What exactly is lacking in my profile (Kindly suggest improvements or omissions)
Career so far:Mar'15 - Jun'17: I was initially associated with Credit Suisse Investment Banking arm (APAC division - extension of FO, with all bloomberg access) and was given an opportunity to travel to HK (for a brief period of 3 months) to assist the APAC trading desk with operational optimization and quick assistance. At Mumbai, I was involved with providing stock analysis and summaries, covering the shorts for the desk from the market/internally with direct interactions with the trading desks at HK. I was always well appreciated at my work, however, due to an almost flat hierarchy I do not have any promotion to showcase.
Jul'17 - Present: Post my 2+ years stint at CS, I moved on to take up a job at a VC fund (top 5 most active funds in India). The profile - has been of a consultant (not an investment analyst) to the startup Founders for optimizing their processes and getting them started. I have also been independently handling due diligence assignments pre-investment and assisting with the term sheet negotiations.
Beyond career: Apart from the above I have been actively involved with community work for the homeless in India - through a reputed NGO.
I have also lead Charity events for raising funds for the homeless - through my own banner.
I do have a poetry blog and participate in poetry open mics at Mumbai, I have classical dancing experience (3+years) and enjoy extensive travelling.
I am also trying startup mentoring (at a very seed stage level) for my friends and this is a great learning process.
Educational Background:Chartered Account (51%)
BCom (80%)
12th Grade (84%)
10th Grade (86%)
Keenly looking forward to the replies. Let me know if any further clarifications are required from my end.
Thank you in advance for taking time out for this.
Regards,
