As per me option D seems correct as the mentioned problems are basic human functions and caffeine disruptes it , given in passage too..

A. Different reactions don't mean the research is useless. That's way too strong.
B. Correct People react differently to caffeine, so it's difficult to make one definite statement about its effects on everyone.
C. The passage already says caffeine does stimulate the central nervous system. Different symptoms don't mean it doesn't affect everyone.
D. Nothing in the passage says caffeine is addictive or harmful to basic bodily functions.
E. We aren't told that the studies had too few participants. Different results don't automatically mean larger samples are needed.

IMO, B. This option states that different individuals have different reactions to caffeine intake and matches with the stated paragraph.

I agree that the passage suggests caffeine disrupts basic human functions ("nervousness," "drowsiness"), though the passage does not seem to mention that the addictive nature of caffeine causes the disruptions.

Furthermore, we know nothing about the size of test groups used in all the experiments mentioned in the argument so we cannot come to any conclusions in that regard.­
