How essential is it to know calculus for earning a Top 15 MBA? Thank you in advance.
Hello, timthetryhard. I read this question a little differently, so pardon me if I am way off base. I thought you were asking about an MBA curriculum at a top tier business school. Either way, the answer remains the same: calculus is not necessary. You can anticipate courses in accounting, finance, marketing, and perhaps statistical analysis, but calculus itself is neither a required course nor a prerequisite to succeeding in a top program.

If you were talking about the GMAT™, then I will only underscore what others have said above: calculus is not required, even if you wish to achieve a perfect Quant score. (I have on occasion used logarithms to make certain questions with exponents more workable, but even then, that was just an alternative method from the main line.)

Good luck in your pursuits. If you have further questions, feel free to ask.
