I use regularly windows live mail.
My suggestion - start -> control panel -> programs and features -> windows essentials -> repair all windows essential components.
with any problems I had with windows live mail - it helped.

that is true as well, but it works perfectly on my computer. Since I have thousands of emails, sometimes it gets bugged, but repairing it fixes all the problems :)

It still works well without support from MS. However, suppose that one day it isn't working, this serious problem could effect your daily work badly. For me, it's better to use other updated products.
