last year they interviewed 65% in R2 and gve admits to 22%. so far only 34 % invited this year so still a long way to go unless they changed their strategy after ranking 3 in the poets and quants

Wow, interviewing 2/3rds and I dont even have at least an interview...you're making me feel terrible. Not saying my profile is great or anything, but I thought my essays were pretty good (well, maybe not my PPT).

Hello guys, just to let you know that I received an invitation last thursday, but I sent an email to admissions to inform about the withdrawal of my application. I am international (Venezuelan) living in Spain. I hope someone can take advantage of that interview slot. It was fun to share with you in this blog. Best!
numbers are from last years chicago thread.. i downloaded the data into an excel sheet and did some quick calcualtions to get these numbers.

65% looks a bit on the high end. This chat from a few years ago puts it at 50 to 60%. A bit old, but I'd guess that, with the growth in Booth's prestige and a corresponding increase in application numbers, the percentage of applicants interviewed might be going down slightly. At the very least 65% seems like an awful lot...

Using beatthegmat's statistics as a snapshot, in R1, they interviewed 60/179 ~ 33%.
In R2, they have interviewed 56/262 ~ 21% so they conceivably have 12% more to interview. So it looks like they are 2/3 of the way through giving invites... which makes sense considering there are 4 invite days left of 12-15 total days.

This seems a lot more accurate, if nothing else than for the fact that all applicants within 60 miles of Chicago have to interview on campus with the Ad Com. I've heard they accept roughly 50% of interviewees which mirrors Booth's acceptance rate. If Booth was interviewing 65% of applicants there is no way they'd be able to handle 100% of Chicagoland applicants and a good portion of U.S. applicants all on campus. For example Kellogg interviws 90 plus % of applicants and forbids Chicagoland applicants from interviewing on campus.
