Just remember, don't get too focused on hearing back tomorrow (Tuesday). While they have called the day before in the past, 1) the official notification date isn't until Wednesday, so they may always wait, and 2) it seems they haven't called 100% of admitted students the day before. So even if you don't get a call tomorrow, there is still a chance of getting a good email on Wednesday.

They will always try to call you. If you don't pick the call, they will let a voicemail message.

In case your phone is dead, you don't have voicemail, etc. then you'll receive a personal email from Admissions some time later in the day.

Could've sworn I read otherwise, but I have no facts to back that up, so I guess we'll wait for those calls. Good luck to everybody.

just 24 hours left till we hear from them..
i always wondered why they call the candidates before releasing the results. it seems to be more humane to release all teh results in one go and then call up successful candidates later on.. just my 0.02

If there was a way to make all the personal calls simultaneously, I bet they would. As soon as they admit someone, they are now the ones trying to impress the candidate. They want everyone they admit to choose Booth over the other schools she has been admitted to. If you already found out you were admitted by an impersonal form email, a phone call wouldn't really be special.

Plus most of the people who don't follow this board probably have no idea calls are going out while we are sitting around agonizing over the reports of admits throughout the day, trying to find patterns that don't exist, second guessing everything on the application status page, hitting refresh on the board, checking for missing calls, etc.

This past week has been one of the least productive weeks so far... Just a few more days and it will be over.

What time US applicants have reported getting calls in the past? Good luck, everyone!

I'm based in New York. I received my call around 3:30 or 4:30 in the afternoon back in Round 1.

Just bumping my old post for the anxious souls ...... I hear u guys ....... Just one more day to go!!!!!
tgtivyleague
India and China were released first in rd1. I think I was probably one of the first to get the call from one of the admission staff members ... Around 0900h Chicago time.

I think you all must keep ur phones at a place where they can be accessed. EVERYONE, in all likelihood, will be called one day prior. Of course, some are not reachable or accessible, in that case, u may find a Chicago no on ur ans machine!

And yes, i can prempt a query so will try and address that too:
No, Everyone did not get the call from the same area code ... Some got the calls from a different area code as well (I think that is coz the cell phones may be of different areas)

So, hang in there guys, 20th is not too far off! Hoping to see a lot more fellow admits from this gang!

Or maybe she got into the other schools after she was waitlisted at Booth. After all the post that you are quoting is over 3 months old :)

I know current students that were HBS admits. In fact, for some (few) people the brand name is not everything :P, and the programs and people of these two schools are very different. In my experience so far (1/3 of my MBA at Booth), I realize that I completely fit in this program and the school, and that I would not have been happy at HBS. Case method all the time could have killed me, and I'm not a guy who enjoys competition for grades (I love GND), nor likes super competitive people. But at the time I would probably have chosen HBS. Thankfully I didn't have that choice.

I am feeling the same! I re-read my application package and thought that it was well-polished and stood me out. Best application package I could put together and that I could stand a chance!

But now, totally hopeless and not confident :(.

I'm right there with you...my interview went well and gave me a lot of confidence. But today I've been thinking about every "what if" scenario there is and second guessing my interview answers, etc. We'll know soon enough.

Haha, I did exactly the same thing. I re-read each and everything on my app. I think I just wanted to reassure myself that I submitted a good app.

Hopefully, we'll hear some good news tonight (I'm on the other side of the world), or else at least we'll know, it's time to move on! (A win-win?)

Good luck everyone!

I know it's probably not what most people are looking for but do note - even if you don't hear anything tomorrow, you can still be waitlisted. It isn't necessarily a bad thing for Booth since over 100 people got in from the waitlist last year.
