There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I just received an email indicating that the Consortium is accepting applications up until its portal closes on the 30th. I am a little blown away by that. One it sets an odd precedent and two that has to have a bearing on all of us who have already made the deadline as initially indicated. 25 days after the initial deadline is a lot of leeway.
1/20 was Tuesday. I sent in my application in on the deadline date. I don't believe I was delayed in transmission by the Consortium even though I had them change my attached resume due to a new job I just started. I can't remember the day I got confirmation from the Consortium saying they forwarded on my info. I couldn't sleep last night (and possibly I have become obsessed with this process I am sure you all understand) and wasted plenty of time reading through old posts on this thread and others. If the timeline holds I would assume that Tuck and the others should indicate receipt this week and then invite for interviews next week. I am looking forward to moving ahead with this process although I am still uncertain as to how to manage travel/interviews and a brand new job. No bueno. I am going to Skype as many as possible probably.
I have only heard from Ross and McCombs. Nothing from Stern, Tuck, Darden or Yale. I submitted deadline day for R2. Glad to hear I'm not the only one obsessing over this. How many times a day do you guys check your email?!
I went to a great event at USC over the weekend and heard from an adcom member that Consortium applicants should receive notification that their app was received sometime this week or next. Interviews will probably happen towards the end of February, a bit closer to the mid-March "draft" than other applicants, who should start hearing back about interviews Feb 8-9. Definitely refreshing to have some transparency about the process!
Same here. I check my email at least three times an hour as if that is going to make it happen. My productivity is being held back for sure. I check this website probably two-three times a day while at work Patience isn't a strong character trait of mine.
best thing i did was unsubscribe from email alerts of new posts in this forum....need to do it on all forums - will make me a tad more productive.
havent even gotten application received from nyu - but based on everything....might not get that till feb. don't want to over think things by comparing to otheres
question - did ross give you login details for application management? I got an email saying they got my app via consortium - but no login info. Got login for the interview...but that was just to schedule?

Just got confirmation for USC that they've received my application. (Interview invites start going out Feb. 9th.) Also already heard from Cornell Johnson two weeks ago.
