Hey there, congratulations for being accepted!
I also applied to ESADE's Master in Global Strategic Management and I just received an e-mail inviting me for the interview.
Do you have any insight from your interview? Do you remember what kind of questions they asked you? Mine will be on skype with one of the AdCom's members.
Thanks in advance
Hey, congrats on making it to the interview round!
I was interviewed in person on February 9th, in Amsterdam.
The interview was in depth, but relatively informal in my case. 20 minutes of informal conversation - him getting to know me, then 20 minutes of more 'formal' interviewing (in English). The recruiter was Dutch, so the informal conversation was clearly seperated in my case. He really tried to settle the nerves, was joking, and I clicked pretty well with him which definitely helped.
Core questions:
- What makes you a good fit for this program?
- Are you a global citizen, and what experience do you have internationally?
- What is your strength, and what do you bring to a group?
- What is your biggest weakness?
- How well do you fit not only with ESADE, but also with UVA and Ling Nan? (Do your research! Understand ESADE's slogans, and research UVA/Ling Nan where you can)
They asked me specifically for macro-economic experience (I did not have a course specifically called macro economics in undergrad). Something specfic to my application, but good info to have.
I was pretty nervous, and did not come out of the interview with a feeling I aced it. I was very responsive when he came to me with some follow-up questions, and he really appreciated that. Keep a close eye on your email and do not delay responses.
Overall - I was extremely honest. My biggest weakness is something that could have severely impacted my admission, but I decided I'd rather be honest than lie for the sake of my admission chances, and this is something that served me well, I think.
Hope that is enough information for you! Good luck on trying to get in - spots are so limited!
Regards,
Laurens
