Does anyone know if the Park Fellowship essay must be submitted by Jan 9th? If that is the case, than does someone applying in R3 need to submit the app early so that they can get the essay topic?

just talked to adcom about why my R2 app is not yet under review. They said R2 apps are up by 61% 
I guess cornell is going to be extremely tough this year, probably acceptance rate same as the level of a top 10 school.

Hi, I'm hoping to submit my R3 app tomorrow so I can use anyone's help..
I mailed one of my two recommendations and it has been received by the admission office (according to USPS tracking). But the online system still shows I'm missing one recommendation, and the website is not adding valuable information on what to do if mailing recommendations. In fact, the information it gives is ambiguous at best.
Has anyone post-mailed a recommendation and can advise me on how to proceed with submitting the app?
