hey guys, just got admitted for R2....you read it right, R2. What a relief.

Does anyone know when the deposit deadline is? And also, I only sent in copies of my transcript and GMAT, so I supposed I should send in the officials now?

Congrats aceman! So is Cornell the one?

Not sure about the deposit deadline, but I'm sure it's on the JS website.

God thats really late. Its a delay of more than 6 weeks. That means my R3 decisions which were supposed to be out by March 2nd week will probably come in the middle of April. I have my interview this monday.

Deposit deadline for me is Feb 29. Don't know what applies to you. Why not make a call to the Admissions Office?

I'm trying to get an extension to March though. I really have to think hard: to go or not to go... I love Cornell, but there are so many things to consider.

Family issues... my Mom will be living here alone, she's old not very healthy. Plus.. hic hic.. she wants me to get married and settle down with a family, not hanging around with career any more!

Just had my interview with the Cornell interview. It was my most probing interview so far. The interviewer went into the specifics of my work, level of involvement and reason for MBA. Overall I enjoyed the interview because it gave me a chance go beyond the usual questions and standard answers. He also told me that he had interviewed over 25 candidates from S.E Asia alone. I was quite shocked at this statistic.

I would say we are looking at a delay of at least 4-6 weeks from the original decision deadline based on 2nd round delays.

Is the March 5th date, the admit/ding date? or is it the last date for interview invites? Is it safe to assume that if I did not receive an invite yet, I'm most likely dinged?

gotcha. so march 5th is a mid-decision date? it's confusing figuring out which dates are decision dates, which are notifications dates, etc. thanks for the clarification.

that's the decision date they had set before they realized apps were up so much. something in the neighborhood of 1200 for Rd3 alone i had heard. I believe it has been said they are going to do their best to get decisions out on the 5th for those who have interviewed, but they will be sending out invites through that date and interviewing well past, with hopefully a 5-7 day turnaround for those who interview past the 3/5 date.
