Yes I have all three options phone, alumni or campus, but realistically I can only do the phone option now and that sucks because I am not a phone interview kind of person.... oh well... whatever needs to be done will have to be done...
Question to people who have interviewed: Is the interview blind or did the interviewer read your application before hand?
My interview was on-campus, and I was told that it was semi-blind. Meaning: She had not read my app, but had received notes from the other adcoms who had read it. The interview was mostly casual, and if there was a lull, she used the questions/comments from others to lead the conversation. I didn't get some standard questions (resume walk-through, etc), so the only advice I can offer is to know your weaknesses and be prepped to account for them, and most importantly (from meeting quite a few who got into Johnson), be your normal self. They're looking for the people who will unite to form a really cool class; unfortunately I'm not eloquent enough to define "cool", but essentially be a decent person (i.e. courteous, friendly, [don't punch people]y to keep with adjective usage, etc.)
Not knowing your location, obviously going to Ithaca would be a better bet, but phone should be fine. If you get Ann, Randall, or other people on the adcomm, you should be fine, they're all really laid back, so just be confident. I ended up just driving 9 hours to Ithaca for mine, but it all worked out.
