This is the closest we had to R1 list. I don't know if it matters when we submitted since everyone's status seems to be progressing lockstep. But I got mine in 10/27.

I applied R1 and found that while I hit the "why Darden" in essay 1, it was easier to flesh out in the third (case study). FYI... when I went to their open house a while back they were very insistent that folks observe the word count - "expressing your thoughts concisely is what the case method is all about."

I had some difficulty with the Darden essays to incorprate the 'why darden' bit. i used all the three essays to answer that implicit question.

Just want to make sure this tally is for submitted applicants (not merely interested or intended apps). Otherwise it makes it more difficult to track submitted dates as well as those that have limited postings. Mine is pending, but I'm starting to get a little restless. I applied to another school after UVA and have already received the admissions decision. I really think their applications are through the roof this year.

McDargoiowkel, what was the other school you applied and got a decision. Also, if you listened to their blog post, they are going to review ALL applications for R1 before sending out any invites...so we are waiting for them to review all R1 in detailed...hence the delay.

I just heard her youtube video again! she dint mention anything of that sort. She said that they would read the entire file (singular) before inviting 'you' for an interview. I am guessing that u misheard that comment!
