Hopeless day at work today....My manager expecting a discussion today in the other office and me staring at my phone and refreshing the gmatclub forum.....and also day dreaming about how will the evening be like after a call...I don't think I'll get anything done today in the office

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who does things like this.
Question for everyone. Obviously, Rd three is the toughest round to get into and so the odds are high that many of of will get dinged. My question is - for those of us who are waitlisted or dinged - do you think we will have a better than average shot for next year if we apply in one of the first two rounds?
Well that depends. There was someone this year that was waitlisted until august last year, and applied again this year and was still dinged. I think if you figure out/find out what part of your application the admissions committee did not like and improve that portion of your application then you will have better odds of getting in. I don't think applying again without improving your weak points will give you any advantage over anyone else.
I just spoke to admissions. They basically said, "look we try to call people who get in before the deadline but in the past we haven't gotten to everybody. So be prepared for anything."
Seems like no one has heard anything today so I'm guessing they just aren't as focused on this round. Maybe we'll just have to wait until midnight. No # updates on the facebook group either which backs up our experience thus far today.
I'm hoping that maybe they are doing the notification differently for R3. I feel like somebody would have heard something by now. Even if it was just one person, the odds say that we would have at least heard of an acceptance by now if they were in fact calling people today.
Should we hope for tomorrow? If my status doesn't change at midnight, I am taking that as a good sign.
Like I said, I talked to admissions on Friday and today. Not matter what your status is going to change tonight at midnight EST. I have no idea what is going on over there but it is kind of weird that no one has reported anything.
It is somewhat worrisome. Alll anecdotal reports from Darden Days are that yield is high, but I have to imagine they're going to let someone in this round.
