My recommenders confirmed they did NOT receive an email for a LOR. I've checked the application and I did select "Send Email" and now I see there is no way to re-send the email notificaiton. Anyone have this problem, or talk to tech support on how to get this figured out?

Did anyone get a rather interesting mail from Darden ?

i got a mail saying that one of the current students recommended my candidature and they encouraged me to know more about the school. The mail was more of a marketing mailer type rather than a personal one.

Was just curious if anyone else got the mail or am i the choosen one ? :roll: :shock:


Also, i am planning on visiting Darden.
From the website, it seems that you cannot take an interview during your visit unlike many schools
Does that mean that Darden has only interviews by invitation ?

can anyone who visited Darden comment whether they were able to schedule an interview ?

in for round 1 too. the app has so many technical issues its a bloody pain. thank god i started filing it out today unlike the last two days like i was planning on for the other apps.

Did anyone else have any idea how they were supposed to fill out the payment information page? I entered my CC# but it never asked for what type of Credit Card it was. As it asked for like "Login Information" and what not. Who knows if I actually paid anything...but I submitted, now the waiting game begins I guess.

I think they can tell what type of card it is from the number. Like, all Visas start with XXXX and all AmEx have 15 numbers instead of 16 (or the other way around)

Yeah I figured that, but still strange. Also, for the Login Information field, which was required, I just put my application login password. I had no idea what to put in there, and it wouldn't let me go on without it. LOL.

I got a confirmation of receipt for the payment information sent to me. I'd check your junk/spam mail if I were you.

Also, does anyone know the timeline for Darden, when to expect interview invites to start rolling out? Do they do it all in one day, or progressively? Same with admits, dings, wl, is it all on the deadline day or progressively?

Is anyone else finding it really tough to get all their responses to Question 2 to fit into 600 words? I dont know if its just me, but i've highlighted 3 things ill bring to darden, and 3 things i want out of darden, and its a pretty tight squeeze :(

I noticed your earlier post about re-sending the online link to your recommenders...were you able to resolve this issue? If so, how? I think I'm experiencing the same issue and I'm nervous that this will delay my application and push it to R2 as a result...

To those who submitted already, did you get an email from Darden confirming that Darden received your application form already?

Or, did you just receive the payment email notice?

I did talk to technical support and they're able to manually push it back out. However, as long as you do try "Edit" and then "Save" again it will resend the notifications I've found. Just ensure the "Send Email" box is checked. Call your Recommenders 15 minutes after this and confirm its not sitting in their spam/junk mail.

Hello,

If anyone's having problems with the addresses on the personal information page of the Darden application, here's the explanation:

You have to enter your permanent address and at the end of the address section under "preferred address" mark it as "permanent"

Then you have click on "Add" and enter your preferred mailing address (enter details again even if they are the same as your permanent address) and at the end of the address section under "preferred address" mark it as "preferred mailing address"

This solves the problem.

Anyone else dislike the Darden online application?

Few issues:
1. Not able to re-send LOR reminders to my recommenders without contacting Darden
2. Have to copy and paste essays into text box..other schools allowed me to attach a document
3. Essays are very limiting (topics and lengths)
4. Optional essay? I assume the additional comments section is where this information should go, but they don't explicitly say that...

Seems like there are still a lot of issues with this new system that they need to work through.

Thoughts?
