I'm in! On the east cost got the call around 12:15 Eastern Time. I also was told I have a full scholarship and have been chosen to compete for a Jefferson Fellowship! :shock:

I could not be happier, although I just watched hunger games this weekend and the description of the fellowship "competition" sounds uncomfortably reminiscent :).

Wow! Congrats, spacecurves!! I was in the middle of teaching my pre-K, Kindergarten class when the call came, so my memories of what Wendy Huber said are all a blur. All I heard was the "we'd be thrilled to admit you to..." and then my brain melted. Hahaha

hahaha I know exactly how you feel. Sarah was the one to call me and she starts off with, "congratulations you are in!" And my brain also melted, and then she goes, "theres more! You have a full scholarship!" And my brain melted some more, then she says, "Theres more you get to compete to be a Jefferson Fellow!" I think my exact words were something like "A Wah? Whats a Jefferson Fellow?"

Eloquent as always :). Luckily I scribbled some notes during the call or I'd have no memory whatsoever.

I wouldn't risk it. If you call, you're basically saying that you couldn't wait the maximum 10.5 hours more to hear from them, and there is a small chance that b/c of the message you're sending they could change your admissions decision from positive to negative.

I don't believe there's anything you can do at this point to change the decision from negative to positive, so my advice would be to sit and wait.

I beg to differ, I was getting in a day long meeting without the phone (at one of the embassies), so I just called up and was told I am in. Being rude is different than being nervous or eager to call.. :)
