I don't know... I'd rather not be given something than have something taken away...

(If I got the email, I'd be worried the whole weekend that it was "wrong")
(Not having gotten the email, I can start definitizing more what I'll be doing next year).

I'm with you. I got the email and I can't let myself just be excited because it might be taken away next week. My last name starts with "C" for what it's worth....

I think those who got the email are safe. I just cant see how they'd only send the email to part of the admit crowd though. My view from the "no email" group is not a positive one - I think the best I can hope for at this point is a WL on Tuesday.

From the sounds of it, all will be quiet from Fuqua for the rest of the day today (and weekend). Ugh.

I got the email and went ahead and signed up for access to the website. I haven't told family and friends about it yet. It's going to be really hard now to not say anything until I get official word, but I don't want to tell everyone and then retract it later if it was all just a mistake.

I really want to confirm this so I can celebrate. After the brutal hours at work this week I could use some celebrating.

look on the bright side.

Last year, Kellogg sent admits to a bunch of people by mistake, and later that day took the admits back. Imagine if you received an admit, withdrew your application elsewhere, only to find out you got rejected.

UC-Santa Barbara did the same thing to it's undergrad class. The joke was that Kellogg MBA must have did the consulting on UCSB's admission system.

Someone over at BW called Duke. They said it was a mistake and that they would try to get decisions released today....we kinda have conflicting reports...

Wow, this is quite the mess! I guess its good news that they plan on sorting things out today, otherwise it could be a (more) painful wait for us.

It happened to yet ANOTHER UC?? Geez man, last year was UCSD too. i think it happened to another school in the early 00s.

I just called Duke and they said they have decided to get decisions out this afternoon due to this email debacle. So not too long to wait considering it is already afternoon for those of you on the East coast.

I am at the airport and in 4 hours my flight leaves... and since my flight is 6 hours long that would mean a loooong pain if decisions don't come out!! :( I haven't reeived any email, and I am quite worried since Duke is my only choice... :( Interviewed by the way... so let's wait, I really hope that not receiving that error email doesn`t mean anything bad...

Stop the madness!! Congrats to all the "admitted" students. At least they're doing the right thing by releasing decisions today...let's just hope I get one this afternoon, no e-mail for me :( .

Any word on when the R2 interview calls are going to go out? I submitted mine at 4:50 PM ET on Jan 7th so cut it real close....

Hi all. Brand new to the forum. All this excitement so I had to join. I applied round 1 and got the email today. Its all very fishy though. I created my account and all seemed well. Then I went back to the original welcome email and clicked on the link again (just to check out the web address, see if it seemed official, etc.) At that time a virus threat popped up on my computer. I'm not sure if its related because no one else has seemed to notice this, but I'm very skeptical now. Also, if you look at the web address of the admitted students website (once you are supposedly logged in), any one can go to it with or without a log in. I had one of my colleagues try it!

I would think they'd have these out by 5pm EST....

Then again, I'd would have thought they wouldn't have botched the emails either.

The wait is KILLER! My flight h been delayed of about 1 hour, so I should be able to find out... never have been so happy about a delay haha :) Let's hope for the best, even for those who got the email already - it would be very bad if that was only an error!
