Just got the call from Tuck! I'm in with the Consortium Fellowship and couldn't be any happier. I was sold at Divco. I ranked Tuck #1.

I'm not the typical Consortium applicant in that I only applied to one Consortium school, and 3 schools overall. Have a GA to one non-Consortium school, was waitlisted at the other and promptly withdrew my application. Was admitted to my Consortium school (Kelley), and am now waiting on the Consortium decision. I feel really good about everything, and think I have a good shot at the fellowship. The hardest part is just the waiting for me. From all I've heard so far, Kelley has told us that we'll hear from the Consortium. I'm so hoping that they surprise us with calls, or it will be the longest FIVE DAYS for me ever. Thank God, I don't live that far away from St. Louis. So once the results are in the mail, they'll get to me pretty quickly. So at this point, I know I'm going somewhere. Just need all offers on the table to decide where.

I thought about that too. But I think I'll love b-school, and that I picked the right time to do it. I thought about doing it 5 yrs after UG, but was still experiencing UG-burnout-never-to-return-to-school-again syndrome. So I waited until the time was right. I think the only thing I'll miss over the next couple of years will be the steady paycheck, and more extravagant lifestyle. Outside of that, I plan to enjoy b-school to the max from class to social to international travel!

So the only holdouts are: Haas, Kelley, UNC, Simon, and Wisconsin. Sigh...I'm patiently waiting. See, I'm being obedient to call things that be not as though they were. My new name should be: Ms. Patiently Waiting.

i gotta say, i'm so glad this forum exists! I'm way too stressed right now and misery loves company! Thanks for sticking together through these tough times. Its past 4pm on the East Coast and I havent heard from anyone. I think this means: Tuck rejected me, Cornell and Yale are not offering me a fellowship. Time to get started on researching Yale's financial aid options. It could be a lot worse, so no complaints.
