I'm eager to connect with any applicants who have applied for the Fall 2023 iMBA. It will be helpful to compare timelines and get a feel for when we can expect responses from the admissions team.

- Submitted my application

13th May 2023
- Emailed admissions to ask about the progress of my application

14th May 2023
- 3rd referee out of 4 submitted references (I only requested two references initially from my uni professors but found out I needed professional references as well, so I added two more.)
- Got a reply to my email and was told my application is now complete

15th May 2023
- Interview invitation and scheduled for 16th May 2023

I had my interview on 06/16. The interview was conducted by an Alumni of the GIES iMBA. I joined the zoom meeting 5 min early and my interviewer was also ready for an early start. Here are some of the questions he asked. He provided an outline of how the interview would proceed and then started with his questions.

1. What drew me to the GIES iMBA program? 
2. Name a challenge I foresee if I were to be admitted to the program. 
3. How would I overcome this challenge?
4. What specializations am I interested in?

I was then given the opportunity to ask him questions. We ended the call with him providing advice on how I should approach the specialization, and he explained how the rest of the admission process will work.

Yeah so like you, I was interviewed by an iMBA alumni. Questions were as follows:
1. Why am I looking to do an MBA?
2. Why iMBA with Gies?
3. What problems do I envision having whilst doing the degree?
4. What are the benefits and potential problems in working in a group?
5. How can I contribute to the iMBA program?
6. Why am I applying for the scholarship?
I think that was it. Very straightforward and I believe it went well.
I was told they finalise decisions every 2 weeks on Fridays and that it probably wouldn't happen this week. They will probably get back to me by end of May, early June latest. It'll be another 2 or 3 weeks after that to know if I made it into the 2nd round for the scholarship.

I emailed them asking for an update and the next day, I was emailed an invite to interview. I could have scheduled as early as Monday the 22nd (everything before that was unavailable), but due to my timezone (only extremely early interviews available) I will interview Thursday the 25th.

Congrats on receiving your decision! Thanks for sharing your timeline.

I had my interview on the 25th and the admissions rep said that admissions decisions generally go out on Fridays and that I'd most likely have a decision on June 2nd but if not then, June 9th. She indicated that there were many staff at a conference this week, but she didn't believe it would negatively impact the flow.

The last correspondence I received from the admission team was on Thursday 06/01 around 9pm the evening. I received my official admission letter with a new student checklist. Here is my updated timeline.

I received a Welcome email yesterday, Sunday, June 4th... I was told they go out on Friday's so it was strange to have received it on Sunday.

I received the Notice of Admission yesterday and my schedule is as below:

I'm wondering if anyone who has been admitted to the program has already joined the "Summer/Fall 23 Admits Group on Workplace" mentioned in the email. I was unable to access it and I'm curious if others are experiencing the same issue.
