Hi there

I'm interested in your thoughts on answering the HBS essay question from the perspective of a 2+2 applicant.

As many of you know, HBS has asked its applicants to 'Introduce yourself'.

For regular applicants, experiences that are referred to would be drawn from the past. But, for 2+2 applicants, there's still 2, 3, or possibly even 4 years of a future prior to matriculation. How does one reconcile this when one will inevitably have to refer to past events when introducing oneself.

For example, let's say I'll be starting as an analyst at an investment bank next year (currently a senior). If I'm them asked to introduce myself to my section (requiring me to fast forward 3 years), how do I explain my decision? I can't actually say I've learnt X, Y, Z from being an analyst because I haven't yet started. But in the same vein, I can't really say I've chosen to be analyst at an investment banking for X, Y, Z because that wouldn't make sense to a class where I've supposedly already worked for a few years.

Any thoughts?
