My Ques is regarding the Reco Word count.
Two of my three recomenders have called me saying that the 250 word limit is too less and each of their answer is about 350-400 words, with the overall count around 1100. But they say that they are liking what thet have written and the flow is nice !!!
Now do i request them to CUT the words down or go - ahead with the 400-word cap.
I believe the reco is taking two complete pages in TNRoman, Font 12, single - space !!
NEED ADVICE URGENTLY !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance!

I will take the 1100 words and run. I wish my recommenders would go over some. Hey, if it's positive, it can't hurt.
They are your recommenders, not you and you are not supposed to have any control over what they write so don't stress too much. If they have nice things (and don't repeat themselves) to say during 1100 words, that is fine.
Tell them to put 1 question per page and submit a 3 pages document. I told them to do that way and it worked just fine.
These are the instructions that the recommenders get:
Quote:
Answer all three questions in one document and on one page. Single-space your responses. Separate your answers by writing each question or question number at the top of each question. Recommendations longer than one page are discourage
.
what is the lowest margins on sides and top/bottom one can go, 0.5"? I interpret this as all 3 answers must be on the same page. But I guess I'm wrong .
where did you get these directions, i do not see them on website. how'd anyone fit 750 words in 1 page?
My recommender sent them to me when he asked about the word and the page limit.
Ok good to hear... but I think ApplyYourself is down... the whole system down, can't login to H or K or MIT as well.

I don't think it is down. E-mail applyyourself and ask them to unlock your account. This has happened to me several times. It is probably due to you logging into the system from multiple computers/browsers. I've been on apply yourself for several hours. You should not have problems.
Being as important doesn't mean it needs to comprise the majority of the essay - you just need to address it for each. In my case, I broke each accomplishment into 1, 2, and 3; each accomplishment consisted of 3 paragraphs: 2 describing the situation, 1 why I viewed it as one of my most substantial.
Good luck tonight! I pulled an all-nighter submitting my app

Rest assured...after the drama clinic Mack Brown put on after the 2004 season to rob Cal (my alma mater) of a Rose Bowl, I'll forever save some hate for the burnt orange
Is anyone else having problems with their pdf application before hitting submit? Parts of it looks all streaky and blurry with missing fields even though my application is completely filled out. I've been waiting for an IT solution for a few hours now but I'm getting antsy and want to hit submit! I'm not sure if the issue is just at my end and the AdCom would be able to see it perfectly.....
