Applied today for R1.
Regarding the comments for length of essays, the limit is for the words not for the number of pages. Another comment, in the application form the guideliness for essay formats are established:

"Limit your responses to the lengths indicated.
Single-space your essays.
Please use Times New Roman font type and 12 pt font size.
Write the question at the top of each essay.
Refrain from using images and/or any other nonstandard English characters in your essays. They may prevent the system from processing your application."

5.GMAT scores are self-reported, and we do NOT need to have received your official score before the October 1 deadline - an unofficial score is fine. We verify scores for all accepted candidates later in the season.
6.All standardized tests - GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, PTE - MUST be taken before you submit your application...NOT afterwards.

I'm pretty sure this isn't true if he just barely misses it. They said this time they'll make an effort to keep this from happening. In years past, they even said they'd review your file if you had two recommenders in on time and the last comes in within a few days. With the accelerated interview schedule, they may not want to be held to this, but if they miss it by an hour or two, i doubt it'll be a problem.

On the other hand, if YOU miss submitting by noon by even a minute, they're very clear they'll push you.

With that said, submitted.

I called HBS and they told me that as long as I've submitted I'm in for R1. That being said, if the LOR isn't uploaded by like the end of day or tomorrow, they may print my app without it and basically a whole range of non-desirable outcomes could then occur.

Did their email explicitly mention whether you are in for r1/r2? I thought their email was supposed to mention that but mine only repeated the deadlines.

Same situation. Perhaps because I submitted before my LORs were in my confirmation email listed only deadlines.
