Dinged. It's good to know so I can move on, and reapply nxt year--but it doesn't make it any easier to swallow.

They didn't say anything about final ten. I'm local too so I thought I'd have a chance perhaps to stay on the list 'till July. Maybe they are already overenrolled?

We missed it by ~30 ppl. I hope to see some of u nxt year. At least w/ Round 1 we'll know by Jan., right?

Thank you everyone who posted on this forum during this hard process of misinformation/few leads.
It was good to have a support network of other people going through the same thing.
Although I wish we were all experiencing better news :( Best of luck w/ future endeavors and congrats on making it this far.

I echo mc83's comments. I am thankful for the support and the friendships I formed with a group of GCers.

Ding here as well. It seems that none of got in.

If you are planning to reapply, you should call Eileen and get candid feedback. I believed what she said in the email was true, that anyone on the WL this late is good for admit. You should make it clear that you want to reapply, and what are your chances if you applied earlier (R3 for me). They are feeling sorry for us right now and would probably give you some good pointers.

Hi everyone, if you call Dee during the week and get any feedback that could be useful to everyone else, don't forget to post it.

Good luck with your reapplication.

It is such an amazing thing to see the positive and supportive spirits here. Actually, I had a wonderful weekend with my whole family after months of suffering. I almost forgot there was a bigger picture in the life.
It is the failure rather than success that defines a person. We all will have a better new start!

It is a good question. I am not sure if any good or specific information will come out from the phone conversation. I kind of remember in the decision letter, Dee said only general questions since she will not have your personal files at hand. Thoughts?

It looks like the decline in financial related fields came at the benefit of manufacturing and technology types. I also think it's significant that the average age rose from 26 to 27 particularly since this is the first year the 2+2 students are joining the class.

I started a new thread
Calling All HBS 2012 Applicants (including 2+2)

calling-all-hbs-2012-applicants-including-114796.html#p930258

if someone more technically gifted than I could repost some of the very useful boilerplate on pages 1 -3 of this thread, which includes resources and articles and suggestions for posting stats to google docs, there, we all would appreciate it.
