Hi Lekkerbru, congrats on the admit.
Typo in my earlier post, the last date mentioned was 30th October, not November. Been 2 days after the cutoff, but haven't heard back from adcom.
Losing hope now. I'm Indian, so chances were always slim, i guess.

Don’t lose hope yet buddy. R4 people have been given time till November 11 to confirm and pay the deposit. Possibly some may back out. In that case you might have a chance. I would suggest call IMD next week and ask them.

Thanks LekkerBru. I got a reply from adcom saying the waitlist decision has not yet been made, possibly due to the reason you mentioned. Fingers crossed now.
