Hi all
Can anyone throw some light on this year’s admit conversion rate, and I also heard that this year, it’s difficult to make it to ISB for some reasons. Is this true?

Any suggestion as to what to prepare beforehand for the interviews at ISB?

among other things,
1.be very very thorough with your application. Know everything two layers deep. For instance, if the goal is consulting, you should know if its ops, strategy or tech. Know the kind of projects that exist. Most consulting firms have a list of case studies on their website. Or if you’ve listed ‘travel’ as a hobby then do know about the experiences you’ve had, what you learnt, etc.
2. Do your research on ISB really well. Remember, it is not just the school choosing you. You are choosing the school as well. Know what exactly will ISB give you and vice versa. For instance, if you have mentioned a club or a professor’s name, dig deeper into it
3. Remember, while it is a conversation and you should treat it like one, clarity of thought and structure is very important. Hence, get the content ready for the usual mba questions/ones from the debriefs and the ones related to your profile. Write pointers NOW. Don’t wait for the call
4. Know about your industry (‘current affairs’ around it) and do a bit of case prep/guesstimates in case you are aiming for consulting and for a few cases product management
5. Practice!! Have mock interviews with senior alums (preferably) from your network/consultants, senior colleagues, friends, etc. You should be in ‘that zone’ before the D-day

GMAT Score : 670, High school : 9.4 CGPA , 12th : 84.2 College : Delhi University Score : 65.8% Experience : 5 years Organisations that I have worked for : Zomato, Dineout, Oyo Japan and InMobi International Experience : Yes , Function : Enterprise sales

I wanted to ask if the score here might be a problem

Hi Sakshi

While academic and GMAT are one evaluation parameter, quality of work exp matters too. You seem to have worked with quality organizations and have international work exp with functional expertise in sales, if all this is highlighted well, a GMAT score should not be a problem. Please share your cv or LinkedIn profile link at [email protected] for better and deeper assessment and quality advice.

I can't find some of my extra curricular certificates. Does ISB ask to submit them? Would it be a problem if I don't have all of them?

I think it is necessary to have some sort of proof. If not, then how people will justify they are part of the activity

Hi. Can we add CSR activities in extra curricular activities. If yes, would a screenshot be enough as proof to show that I participated in which activity (Usually we dont get certificated for these activities.)

Perhaps it will be fine. I would rather suggest have some sort of email communication.

you can add stuff in eca despite not having the exact proofs. The alums will be able to see through in ther interviews if it’s made up :)
