Sorry kt and homer - thanks for letting us know. Did you get a status check update email? Or a totally separate email?

Hi Guys,

I was back tracking some threads to get a sense of timing.

The first R1 WL notification date was Feb 18 (Friday). 2 admits received their notifications on Feb 21 (Monday).

So, we might see the same trend this go around.

There would probably be some movement in the coming days, negative and positive.

So don't fret yet over the lack of news.

Again, good luck!

Anyone talk to his or her WL manager yesterday / today? Think it's worth a follow-up?

I stopped communicating with them in February. Once you reaffirm your interest I don't think any other updates do you any good.

When I spoke with my waitlist manager a couple of weeks ago, she said that it would be unlikely that anyone would hear much of anything before the May notification date. They are going to wait until deposits are received before making most decisions.

I was quite surprised to see yesterday that even a couple of people received final decisions.

They keep trimming the size of the waitlist depending on the new R3 applicants.

R2 WL applicant; sent in an update to my WL manager over a week ago and just now received an unsolicited confirmation that it received my update. The adcom has clearly been very busy. Patience is important here.

any reason to worry that my waitlist contact is not a member of the adcom but rather some kind of admin staff member at Kellogg?

seems strange.

I don't think this would be a point of concern. Ultimately, your updates will still get circulated among members of the admission committee.

Hi,

I'm on a R2 waitlist.

Can anyone tell me how you guys figure out who your WL manager is?
I sent an email on Mar 25. and received an email back, saying

"Unfortunately we do not provide feedback on applications.
Thank you for your continued interest in Kellogg."

Should I call the Office of Admissions to find out?
I'm about to send an additional info and it looks like you guys are sending it directly to you WL manager.

Dear NZOMNIAC,

The Admissions Committee has recently reviewed the wait list applications for the Kellogg School of Management and Two-Year Program . Despite your many merits as a candidate, I regret to inform you that we are not able to offer you a place in the entering class.

The Admissions Committee carefully evaluated your application in the following areas: work experience, career plans, academic ability and performance, extracurricular and community involvement, leadership and interpersonal skills. Decisions are based upon a thorough evaluation of your individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as your qualifications relative to all others in our applicant pool. This decision is not a reflection of your personal qualities and achievements or your potential for success in management, but merely a reflection of the limited number of places in the class.

We certainly wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and thank you for your interest in the Kellogg School of Management and Two-Year Program .

Sincerely,

Beth Flye
Director of Admissions and Financial Aid
