Question: Has anyone with an admit received an email notification or just the phone call? I received a call yesterday and my status has been updated online, but I haven't received any emails.

The online notification referenced materials being sent out via postal mail, but wasn't sure if we should expect an email as well.

I received an e-mail from the admission office with congratulations and notifying that I should receive a welcome package in a few days. My online status still has not changed and showing that I have submitted all the docs for the application. Hm

Make sure you are checking the right page. I thought my status also had not been updated (I was logging into the application). Try the below link:

Question: If I choose for R2 to do on-campus interview, what are the range of dates that are available for me to pick? I want to do on-campus if I can visit as well. Thanks in advance.

You can choose almost any date. It is worth it if you have not been to campus. I would call them and try to schedule it ASAP so you get a date you want.

Sorry to hear about so many dings...Took me back in time to last year when I was in the same boat..Fresh applicant, applied with a lot of enthusiasm only to get dinged thereafter...

Being a reapplicant, believe me when I say that I know how difficult it is to allow the feeling to sink in..But as a reapplicant, also believe me that life doesn't stop. At the end of the day, you still have your skills, aptitude, achievements, confidence and everything else that made you apply in the first place. These attributes will help you eventually find your calling and be successful no matter what you do & where you go.

Don't decide right now whether you want to reapply next year. You will be thinking far too emotionally. Take a complete break for a couple of months and then try to objectively analyze what went wrong. Then take a decision if you want to reapply. You would have anyway gained immensely from all the self-reflection and introspection that goes into the process. You have truly not lost anything at all...

I thought I could reapply to Kellogg one more year because it fit in well with my life's plans. If I get dinged this year, I won't reapply next year. Not because I will be too disheartened but for the simple reason that a two year MBA will not find a place in my life anymore. Some of you might reapply while some of you will not... Either way, if you can hold your own, you will be successful!

Good luck for your remaining schools and in general for life ahead! Also good luck to all the others still waiting for their results! Please try not to be heartbroken if you get dinged..I know I won't be..Not because I don't want an MBA badly enough but because I believe an MBA is just a milestone in my journey, not the destination itself...

Cheers!

@scorpionz: Thank you for your heartful words! They are really into my heart!

Let's bless together for those being admitted and dinged and wait peacefully for the yet-to-com result.

Whatever the result may be, always hold on your belief and confidence in yourself for a better tomorrow!

You are right, thanks. I was using wrong page to check on my status--I used your link and it did display the correct status.

I was thinking the same thing. I might call them up after a week or so. They are definitely not likely to respond in the next few days.

You should ask for Beth Flye when you call! :)

yeah last year too I saw that happen. But, I read in one of those "Get into Business school books" that they do offer feedback, if you call around june/ july.

It seems so lame that they don't offer feedback. I mean, which part of the application or oneself do you have to improve? how are we to know? pay an expensive consultant? I work at a non profit, I don't have that kind of money

"work experience, career plans, academic ability and performance, extracurricular and community involvement, leadership and interpersonal skills. "
In my mind, I had an excellent record for all of that, but obviously something is wrong.
Hopes pinned on other schools... no work getting done today... snacking on chips and other foods saturated in transfat.

Wama dama DING dong. Beth just got a hold of me as well. Definitely disappointing, but somewhat expected considering I submitted my application about 10 seconds after the deadline without even proofing one of my essays and called it "Kellogg Business School".

Was really excited about Kellogg's culture so this is a let down. But as they say, life goes on!
