Hi

In my admission email, I didn't get any info other than the video. I didn't get a specific explanation whether I got admitted into the 1Yr or 2Yr MBA. In the becoming Irish site, I couldn't also find that as well.

Does that mean I can choose either ? I hope one of the admits helps me out with this

Thanks

What did u apply for? I would just call them and ask.

Anyone received interview invites in last 7-10 days? I applied for the St Patrick's deadline and awaiting a decision whether my application is going forward.

Good luck

I applied on 2/23 and got my invite around the last week of March. I completed my interview this week.

I applied by the St. Patrick's deadline too and just got an email this morning requesting me to schedule one. Anyone have any insight or tips about Mendoza's interview being anything out of the ordinary?

Most of the questions you can likely anticipate. You may receive a "curve ball" question to test your thought process. I'd share the question I received, but I believe its best to maintain the continuity of the process.

Good luck!

I'm still simply waiting on my initial application from 2/23. Although, my interview wasn't until 4/7... so my status says "under review."

Got the call earlier today.... admitted!

I am from the South Bend/Notre Dame area, so if anyone has any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me. I've lived here my whole life.

I was accepted with 20k per year $$, but also accepted to Booth Part Time. Which would you choose? Full time notre dame or part time booth?

That is pretty difficult for someone else to answer for you. Not only do you need to compare schools, but you also need to compare academic structures. Do you prefer part-time or full-time?

As for comparing schools, I can only speak on behalf of Notre Dame because I have lived near the school all of my life. What I can tell you is the Notre Dame experience is something that lasts for a lifetime, not to mention the strong alumni network that will remain with you forever.

Thanks for the response. I do prefer the full time setup. I am fortunate to have a job that lets me work a very flexible schedule. I did enjoy the campus of Notre Dame. Everyone there was really friendly, etc. Booth part time is more for the rank and the location. But Notre Dame is a great school as well, so a really tough decision.

Booth is a very impressive school. If it wasn't for the fact I cant move to Chicago nor am I wiling to travel there often, I would have applied to Booth as well. Still, I would pick Notre Dame over Booth simply because B-School rankings cant measure the character of the people who get admitted. Booth may post impressive numbers, but Notre Dame develops impressive people. Notre Dame really does look at every aspect of an applicant to ensure the incoming class is as unique and diverse as possible. To achieve that goal, a school cant focus solely on the scores and gpas next to an applicants name, but rather everything that makes the applicant who he/she is. Further, Notre Dame cant become the top military-friendly school that focuses on ethics and positively impacting society without taking a newer, progressive approach to admissions, compared to higher ranked schools. Both schools are highly respected and worth the commitment. It may just come down to what you want to be your takeaway from an MBA Program. Both schools are great, but I've met enough Notre Dame Alums, both MBA and non, to know that these are the people I want in my alumni network.

Come on over and join us! I am sure you will love every minute of being ND!

Got 20k a year from ND. Now I have to compare the two options.. Iowa is giving me all but $2000 of tuition. Obviously, that is much more cost effective. Only question is the long term/post grad benefit of ND name and opportunities.

in the same boat, also offered 20k per year from notre dame but also offered entrance to Booth part time with no money.
Where do you want to live and work after? Notre Dame does offer better access to Chicago.
Honestly if I were you I would go to Notre Dame over Iowa. As I was told go to the program with the best rank you can, and besides, I'm sure the better name will pay off in the long term.

Honestly, I'm going to see if I can get into a tech company in Austin. I want to do Marketing in the Tech industry... say like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Dell, etc etc etc. Silicon Valley is the bigger hub, but it's crazy expensive for living. If I have to go there for a while, I'd love it provided I can afford it haha. But yeah my gamble will be if the big name pays off both immediately, and also long term. Everything says it should, but that's a big financial gamble. I'm going to Advance Weekend at Tippie this weekend so I hope that will shed some light. I'm still sort of hoping Indiana or CMU will admit me off the waitlist, but I likely won't hear until mid May.

You have a harder decision to make since you are essentially choosing between Part Time and Full Time. I considered doing Part Time, but I'm doing a career switch more or less and I wanted to start fresh in a new position so Full Time made sense for me. If I was going to try and leverage my MBA schooling at my current employer then I probably would've done Part Time. I think career services for most places is better for the Full Timers than the Part Timers, but that may just be conjecture. You also get the benefit of not completely losing money since you will be working as well as at school. Going Full Time you have no income. I think it depends what you want to do after, but Booth sounds like the better option if you can get the job part sorted out post grad.
