Focused21 It’s a journey that’s without a doubt.

I will say, compared to activity this time last year in MLT threads, there’s not much chatter here about round 1 apps. Y’all think this cohort app pool will be smaller then prior years.

I’m thinking the best time to apply without being gmat final is round 1 so hopefully the odds are in my low gmat favor haha. I think the cohort may be bigger due to the pandemic more people want to go back to school. However, not as many people are taking the gmat so who knows.

Focused21 I'm definitely curious how this pandemic/economic downturn will affect applications/cohort profiles

I am applying in Round 2. Is round 2 usually more competitive?

j19gobears I’d assume Round 2 has a larger pool of applicants and comprises a bigger portion of the cohort class compared to Round 1. So competitive maybe in terms of number of apps but also I’d assume a greater acceptance rate. I can’t confirm anything so probably best to reach out to MLT.

more competitive and larger pool I think makes it more competitive then not for round 2. I think round 2 will be the most competitive

I'm also applying! I will be submitting my application for R2. GMAT score is not ready yet, so I will just have to submit the app without one and submit my final score in January. If anyone has any insights on what they ask for the recommendation portion, please share!! I am nervous my recommender won't take this seriously so I want to prep him thoroughly. I would ask a friend/mentor to submit a rec for me, but I fear they won't appreciate that.

Would applying round 3 limit my chances of getting in as compared to round 2? As in would there be few spots left round 3? This is my first time applying so I am not sure.

I can have my application ready by Sept 30th, but it would be with a practice gmat score vs a real one if i applied in round 3.

I am thinking hard about this as well. During one the info sessions, I did hear them say that a good number of folks do wait to apply to round 3. I am thinking about submitting an application without a score. My exam is scheduled for the first week of October which means that the scores will only be available later in the month.

I missed the info session, but the overall application is straight forward other than the gmat part so I could have it done by sept 30th. But I took a official practice test cold before I started to study and I got an okay score. Now that I've studied and realized the dumb mistakes I made I know it'll go up, but it's a matter of how serious will they take an application without a score.

Most likely I will be applying round 3 though.
