OH man, R2 interview invites begin next week? I'm not sure if I'm glad or afraid...

Boy, it's going to be a long long week!!!

Just read on Soojin's blog that interview for Rd 2 will be released in 3 waves with the first wave going out next week. My stomach is churning.

That is pretty quick action on their part. Interviews starting to roll out a week from the Rd 2 deadline! I was definitely not expecting that and was thinking Jan would be a app writing month and Feb is gonna be the anxious month. Well, i guess. sooner the better though..Good luck everyone...

Is it true that Ross is closing down its loan program for internationals? If it's what a shame. I would have applied to a different school. This was the exact reason I didn't apply to Columbia.

Those are the rumors doing rounds. That is what they said at an information session in Mumbai as well. They also said that they are working towards tie-ups with Financial Institutions to arrange for alternate sources. I am going to wait for the admission decision to be out this week to check with them.

yep it's true. that is why I'm not nervious towards thursday. Even if i'm in, I can't study. it shows how ross is unprofessional. you want to change the rules? fine, but before the games begin. oh well let them have second class students

Oh well nothing I can do about it right now. I talked to like 5 alums/current students and really really liked Ross and was quite excited to apply. I guess I will worry about this if I get an i/v invite. PS: Stupid me!!! I should have applied to Duke as both Ross and Duke or on the same level. But I didn't. /end rant.

Applying to Duke would not have solved your problem. Out of the schools I researched, only MIT and Stanford had non co-signer loans. I got co-signer buy-ins before applying. A bit of due deligence before applying (especially in this economic environment) would have helped. I understand your frustration but do not agree that Ross will get a substandard class because of this. In fact it will get a class that has made informed decisions after having done their homework.
