This is really frustrating...how slowly are they trickling the interview invites?
This wait is killing me.

Any guesses...any stats from the past about the interview invites???

The wait is getting difficult for me too, though it also gives me hopes that the invite can still come.

Anyways, I inquired a few of this year Stan grads (Indians) and figured out that there is no such order and last year many of them got the invites around 4 weeks prior to the result. Given the fact that the application deadline and result interval has decreased, it can mean that we can still be hopeful till say atleast by the end of 3rd Week of November. My sense is that not more than 30% of the invites have gone out. 6 weeks remain, almost 4 weeks gone, so ideally should have been 40/60. But I assume that a large number of invites will be sent between 2nd to 4th week of November.

Also being an international applicant that I am, I also can be hopeful by thinking that they might actually be looking to find some available alums in the region before actually giving out the interview invites and this can be one of the reasons for the delay.

Most of what I said are mere assumptions... but there is no harm is being positive and hopeful :-)

Best of Luck to everyone out here :-)

Cheers!

So am I, which worried me even more coz I felt that reliance fellowship guys had their application reviewed preferably.. but I asked last year reliance guys and they told that it's not the case. Also I do not know anyone who received an invite from India atleast - if you have heard someone receive it, do let me know..

Dont think there have been any invites from India. But then my only source is the various forums, which is actually a very small subset of the entire applicant pool.

Hi guys,

In response to some of the questions:

I submited a few days before the deadline but I wouldnt worry they are calling for interviews as soon as they review the app, a friend of mine got admited last year and he was called for interview 10 days before the final notification date.

My profile

26 year old, I am an economist from Venezuela. gmat 610 ( frustrated with this score but decided to work very hard on my essays rather than take it again).
- 1 year working in finance, 3 years working in Marketing as a Brand Manager and know I am in the export business.

Good luck to all of you.

Ps: The interview was very relaxed, the interviewer asked a lot about me as a person and future plans... at first we reviewed my resume.

Wow! 610 GMAT and Stanford gives you a call, really unheard off. Congrats.

@tempoguy:

I know 6-7 people outside the forum (2nd degree or 3rd degree of separation :D) who have got call from H but none from S.

@northernstar

I am an engineer from top indian institute with low 700s GMAT. Started a successful venture while on campus and still running it part time. Post college spent 2 years in top tier management consulting firm. Won various entrepreneurship awards and national level business plan competitions

our version of the famous song "Hope will keep us alive".

@northernstar

I am an engineer too but from a rather 'unknown' college. GMAT 700's, started a venture in my final year and have been running it for the past few years (full time.) Have also won quite a few Entrepreneurship Awards and B Plan competitions.

@zaphod: Thanks for that :-) I have a similar feeling for you given your mind blowing GMAT score and entrepreneurial background ...

@Noodles: Don't forget that the deadlines previously used to be around 28-29th October

@tempoguy: I am sure we have crossed roads many a times in one of the entrepreneurship events :-)

Hi guys. Does anyone know if Stanford uses 2nd yr students to review applications? Or do they just have a professional adcom staff read them like at Sloan?
