I got the email notification of a status update from NYU on April 21 @ 11:30AM.

Stats:

Working Experience: Will be 4 Years when I start NYU in September at HSBC (Commercial Banking) - Started as an analyst and now am an AVP
Recommendations: 2 strong ones from my mentor (SVP) and another from a North American Head of my department (also is my boss)
GPA: 3.3
GMAT: 680

I applied at the second deadline (May 15th). When does everyone expect to receive an answer? Their website says August 1 but it looks like they send out notifications earlier, based on prior year forums.

Also, did anyone do something interesting for Essay 2 or did most people stick with a written essay?

I applied for the second deadline too. I agree, seems like it might be earlier than August 1st.

I have not heard anything yet, but I check my email often hoping for it!

I applied for the round 2 deadline. I haven't gotten an acceptance yet, but this morning I got information about a financial award package. Has anyone else gotten this? Is it normal for the financial aid package to come before notification of acceptance?

I assume you filled out a FASFA recently? Maybe they just process aid packages for anyone that has applied. I also received my aid package today.
