Based on this article, the Indian student strength at Tuck has to be around 30 including both years. So, 15 admits in EA round and a few more waitlists in Nov-round certainly cover the Indian applicant demo(I hate the word 'quota').

Sorry about that man. What schools have you applied to in R2? I am sure atleast 1 of them will come through. Hang in there.

I got dinged guys :( .Was away holidaying during the long Chinese New Year weekend. Was too down to come visit the club and update you guys. So now got dinged at all my R1 schools. I am not sure what is lacking in my application. Got interviewed at 3 out 4 schools for R1 and got dinged at all- not even a waitlist. So i am not sure if its the interview thats killing me or belonging to an oversubscribed Indian IT pool thats spelling the death knell in a year where application numbers are up by crazy.

Have applied to Chicago, Wharton, Darden, Cornell. My best bet is Darden at this stage.

I'm curious - for those that did interviews (alumni or otherwise). What was the interview style? Was it:
1) conversational
2)"tell me about a time when you demonstrated..."
3) confrontational (It happens. U Washington was like an inquisition)

Thanks!

I interviewed with a 2nd year student. It was a mix of 1 & 2. Conversational when we got to XC activities. He did ask me a mix of teamwork, leadership & conflict questions.

Alumnus interview. It was nice. Very casual. Turns out I had actually met my interviewer at an Alumni event some time back!

How did you guys dress for the alumnus interviews, given they're normally quite casual? I'm thinking business casual... jacket and dress shirt but no tie.

Mine was pretty casual. Something between khakis and cargo pants, and I wore a dress shirt. No Jacket or tie. I felt it was appropriate for the city I live in (and since we were meeting in a coffeehouse). Plus, I am never really an "overdressed" sort of guy. So, had to be true to myself =) My interviewer was the same.

On a different topic - does anyone know more details about the on-campus housing? in particular prices/procedure to signup/can one actually get a place or will one graduate before your name comes off the waitlist, etc. Oddly I cant even find the price of the previous year online anywhere.

Thanks, westsider... I'll be having my interview in Singapore in the Regents (4 Seasons Hotel) and the interviewer works @ BCG. Supposedly he will be coming straight from work. Wondering if consultants normally wear suits and ties to work

Anyhow, probably will just go with business casual.

I would suggest going Business Formal. I prefer to go over dressed rather than under dressed.
