Sounds pretty consistent with my interactions with admissions staff at UCLA. Good thing they're not teaching the classes or organizing recruiting...

I created a video for Essay #4. It's in .avi format which is acceptable. I'm concerned that they may not have the proper codecs installed to view the video. I sent my vid to a couple friends and they said they couldn't see it (only audio), but after I gave them a link to install the right codec, they could view the video.

I sent an email to the admissions department and they literally copied and pasted the instructions from their website in their reply back, so that was no help whatsoever.

With R1 apps submitted, any thoughts on when we might start to see interview invites sent out? Looks like last year - based on some google searches - interview invites went out the following week. But its not clear what percentage of invites went out that fast.

Is it me, or does it seem as if Applications are down this year. As an applicant last year (not to anderson) i felt that the volume and chatter about MBA apps were a lot more pronounced than last year.

Who knows. I was just talking to a current student and she said that with the most recent orientation night they had, they had one of the largest turnouts ever (over 500 people showed up).

Yeah - i'm getting this from last years thread. From the chatter on that thread, it sounded like a lot of people got invites about 2 weeks after the last date of submission. There were a handful even earlier than that (and obviously others that took a bit longer).

Looks like as promised, Anderson updated the application status today. It should say on your main page when you log into the system. It just tells you whether your application is complete or if they are missing stuff. Nothing too earth shattering, just fyi.

That's the first I have heard about interview invites going out. Haven't heard of anyone else getting an interview.
