I am a long-time follower of GMAT Forum but this is my first post, as I have finally decided to enroll at UCLA.

My stats: 33/M/Europe/770

I look forward to meeting my classmates in September!

Congratulations with taking a step forward!
You have a great GMAT score - were you offered any scholarships from UCLA (if you do not mind me asking)?

TY emont,

It is interesting why such an old and good school (USC) has low name recognition.

Hello Fijisurf,

Yes, I was offered scholarship but only partially. Unfortunately, my GPA is significantly lower than the average.

When did you find out that you had received a partial scholarship from UCLA? How did they tell you (call, email, regular mail)?

They sent me an e-mail, some time after I was admitted. About 10 days ago I guess.

I am very excited to be UCLA Anderson admit (full-time program). However, just recently I got a unique chance to advance my career at my current job. This hard to pass opportunity forces me to consider UCLA FEMBA.
Does anyone know whether it is possible for a full-time MBA admit to transfer to FEMBA? (before the courses begin of course)
Thanks.

Hi everyone. This is the first time I've posted here although I read regularly. Last Wed, much to my amazement, I was admitted off the waitlist and am now part of the class of 2013. Today, I got an email stating I received some $$.

Stats: 27/F/5 yrs WE in consulting/660

I am still waiting to hear from NYU (currently on the WL) but I think UCLA is better for me anyway. I went to ugrad on the east coast. How helpful do you think it is to have bi-coastal educational experience to recruiters? Also, do you think it's detrimental to the job search if you go to school on the west coast but want to return back east? My thought is that many of the connections you make (students, professors, etc) will be west coast based which may make it harder to get a job on the east coast. Thoughts?
