Yep. Went to the admitted students weekend at Duke a few weeks ago, also headed to the admitted students weekend at UNC starting tomorrow. US News just came out with the latest rankings of the schools and it was interesting to see the job placement rate.
UNC - employed at graduation: 54%. Three months later: 69%
Duke - employed at graduation: 69%. Three months later: 76%
I put out a poll on this a few weeks ago (just search for UNC vs Duke) and 85%+ said Duke. UNC does have some great programs though (I think their RE program tops Duke, which doesn't have that great of a focus on it), while Duke's Finance and Healthcare focus top UNCs (though UNC does have two student-managed funds, with $1m+ focusing on both public and private equity - Duke's SMF has appx. $150k).
ahhhh, thanks for clarifying. I also applied last round. I had an interview on March 30th with an assistant director of admissions; he was great! But, he did mention that the one thing against me was that I applied in the last round, which I already knew.... Fingers crossed!

Yeah, applying in the last round is what makes me nervous too. I interviewed on the 5th with John Hughes....very good guy. I was told by one of the AdCom while I was there that applications are down this year.....so hopefully that helps.
Experience weekend was great. Awesome people, great facilities, great programs. Some turnover in leadership and faculty, I heard, though. The students have recently won 1st or 2nd place in some competitions (e.g., Alpha Challenge, VCIC, case comps, etc) and I think that speaks very highly of the quality of the students and the program.
Withdrawing for Fuqua, good luck to everyone on the WL! Very hard to walk away from such a great school, but I think Fuqua is a better fit for me overall.
Great school, great community, great program! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit there and the students I met on campus were outgoing, smart and incredibly down-to-earth. I have, however, decided that the program at Ross is a better fit for me, so I hope that someone from the WL here gets my seat. Best of luck to those still waiting!
Anyone still sitting on UNC's waitlist? I am going to give it until the end of the week to see if there's any movement. I was told that if they go to the list, it'll be the last week in May.
I am still on the WL. I thought they would open it up earlier this month. Where did you hear the last week of May?

From someone in admissions. As far as I know there's been no movement on the WL so far (post-round 4 deposit deadline). That deadline was 5/14, so maybe the class is full? I'd think this would be the week they look at the WL, if necessary.
I'm still on the waitlist too...I have no backup school though, so no real pressure. Aside from having to quit my job and move at the drop of a hat if I got in. That's not too great.
I haven't heard anything yet. Sad, really, as KF became my top choice as I got to learn more about the program. I just applied very late unfortunately.
I guess it's possible that movement could still occur in the next few weeks but I have no idea, really.
Hi all. I am a lurker that's also on the waitlist. I called admissions and was told that as of now the class is full and there is no timeline on a waitlist move.
If the class if full in mid-June is it safe to guess there will be few, if any, people dropping off?
