Well GMATClub seems to filled with a lot of high-scoring similar profile members(IT etc), for whom its much more tougher to get in. I guess we dont really fit that much into the diversity pool. That might explain the slow rate of invites for this group.

Judging by the where do you hail from thread this actually seems to be somewhat of a myth. Yes some of the people around the US are Indians on Visas and some are American Indian (*not native americans). Still I think we are more diverse than you think.

Hello, I am new to posting but I have been reading for a long time. Like many of you, I have been anxiously waiting. I received an invite yesterday. For those of who you worried, please remember there are two days. I was in your position until yesterday and I was about to give up hope. Remember, it's not over. Good luck everyone!

Phew! I almost got a heart attack. Almost.

I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night and started checking my email (don't ask me, I don't know why, it's 4:10am where I am right now). Then I saw an email from W saying my application status 'has been updated' so this must mean an interview right? RIGHT? Dham... Dham my heart pounced. There was a link to my online app account in the email so I clicked that, entered my PIN and password, and I couldn't believe what I saw:

'Complete - Round 1'
'Your application decision is now available online'

At this point I screamed to myself "Ding Without Interview!!!! Ding Without Interview!!!!". I thought this for sure because my friend has shown me his W invite and his status said 'Invited for Interview' rather than 'Complete - Round 1'. There is no other way to find out, so I clicked 'Your application decision is now available online', which is a hyper link. Then I saw 'Dear... You have been invited to interview..." So ...... So...... Yeah!!! So got the interview! **mn I almost got a heart attack!!! Not sure why my status still says 'Complete - Round 1' though.

Good luck everyone. I know how painful the wait is. And I need to go back to bed now ... :)

I visited Wharton yesterday and it was CROWDED with yesterday being the first day of interviewing at Wharton. Overall my observations:

Pros:
1. VERY smart and accomlished students
2. The students were very humble
3. The campus, especially hunstman hall was impressive. One of the few schools that actually has a window in a classroom- does not feel claustrophobic (a pet peeve of mine)

Cons:
It was concerning that the students claim that there is an element of competitiveness amongst the students. But I guess that is expected considering it is a HUGE class.

Oh well good luck with your interview invites :)

No I didn't see anything beyond that, but it seemed there were a ton of open spots the week after Thanksgiving on campus (50?)
