The next people to posts about a ding/interview, could you also mention when your email notification was sent? Not sure if others of you are still waiting to hear back and not sure if these results are coming in sporadically or if my application didn't get processed this round. Thanks!

Did you check the application site? I found out there around 5:10 and then I got the e-mail at 5:12. Generally they send out everything in one round, but I may be wrong. If you didn't get an e-mail check the app.

Once you log in to the online application it should show "decision status" beneath the recommendation providers. If you got an invite, it would have a link there. If you haven't received anything and there is no indication of a status change, you should probably check with ad office on Monday.

Got an invite.. Im still in denial.. for everyone who got a ding.. hang in there.. I got my first ding yesterday from LBS so I know the feeling.. just keep working at it for other schools..

I wish I understood how adcoms make decisions. I got a yes from LBS and a ding from Wharton. I think my Wharton app was actually much better. You're the other way around - really confused how they work!

Actually my Wharton app was much better as well, I poured my heart and soul in to the Wharton/Lauder app and I would have been quite dejected if I got dinged because I believe I gave it everything I had.. I spent 4 months on the Wharton app and I really wanted to get at least one more school in during R1 so I rushed my LBS app and probably spent just 2 weeks or so on it so I guess that reflected in the quality and hence the ding.. but yeah I agree with you.. its very hard to predict how they function.. I guess at the end of the day someone is making a subjective decision and whenever there is a human element to decision making, rationality goes out of the window simply because any two people may have different perspectives and outlooks to their judgement making process.

Applied RD2 last year and got waitlisted. Rewrote my essays (and improved them dramatically according to 3 Wharton and Sloan MBAs), but I just got a ding. I'm a bit confused.

What can I say.. At least for me, the Round 1 ordeal is over. I have applied to 5 schools and this ding completes the picture: Harvard - ding, Wharton - ding, Stanford - invite, IESE - invite, Booth - invite.

I'm very disappointed; I'll just go to bed now.
