Did you check the application site? I found out there around 5:10 and then I got the e-mail at 5:12. Generally they send out everything in one round, but I may be wrong. If you didn't get an e-mail check the app.

Got the invite today at around 5:10 PM. The email came a couple of minutes later.

Congrats to everyone that got the invites and I'm sorry to those of you who did not. Keep your heads up and keep working hard.

Once you log in to the online application it should show "decision status" beneath the recommendation providers. If you got an invite, it would have a link there. If you haven't received anything and there is no indication of a status change, you should probably check with ad office on Monday.

Which interview option is better? Interviewed by the AdCom or by an alumnus? I'm an int'l applicant.

Hmmm... interesting... when did you submit your application?
Seems like the system recognizes you as round 1 but you did not get a decision today...

I wish I understood how adcoms make decisions. I got a yes from LBS and a ding from Wharton. I think my Wharton app was actually much better. You're the other way around - really confused how they work!


Actually my Wharton app was much better as well, I poured my heart and soul in to the Wharton/Lauder app and I would have been quite dejected if I got dinged because I believe I gave it everything I had.. I spent 4 months on the Wharton app and I really wanted to get at least one more school in during R1 so I rushed my LBS app and probably spent just 2 weeks or so on it so I guess that reflected in the quality and hence the ding.. but yeah I agree with you.. its very hard to predict how they function.. I guess at the end of the day someone is making a subjective decision and whenever there is a human element to decision making, rationality goes out of the window simply because any two people may have different perspectives and outlooks to their judgement making process.

I think the universe has a way of staying in balance - got an invite from LBS yesterday and Dinged from Wharton today. Staind, you got a ding from LBS and an invite from Wharton today. Congrats!

Same exact story - I dramatically improved my essay and my candidacy, but a ding. I was crushed two hours ago, now I am a bit calmer now. It'll work out for all of us at the end. Cheers, mates.

Congrats staind.. I got a ding from LBS yesterday out of the blue but INSEAD invite has made up for it today. All the best for Lauder...

What can I say.. At least for me, the Round 1 ordeal is over. I have applied to 5 schools and this ding completes the picture: Harvard - ding, Wharton - ding, Stanford - invite, IESE - invite, Booth - invite.

I'm very disappointed; I'll just go to bed now.

You're doing pretty well for yourself, Stanford, IESE and Booth...top of the top... congrats man.

I received an invite :). Also got invites in Chicago and LBS. Ding in HBS.

For international candidates, anyone has a clue about interviewing with Alumni or with AdCom? (they are coming to my city)
