Well, I've also been receiving the articles and bla bla fishcake. Lol I figured two can play the game, hit the reply button thanked them for the insightful info and used the opportunity to update on what am currently doing (my MBA headstart with MBA Math etc etc.) I was surprised that they actually responded, appreciating my feedback and offering me more air time ... "please contact us if you have any questions."

I was heartbroken ... I was already mentally committed - I was making long term plans in my mind with you know who .. It was terrible.

Sorry to hear this Bee. From what I've been hearing, CBS is SUPER sensitive to GMAT. I'm not sure how far my 680 will carry me, even with a recommender from CBS and the CFA designation.

Not true. My buddy got in with a 610 last year and a 2.7 GPA. However, the rest of his application and profile was highly unique and strong.

Trader,

I was under the impression that if you had a 2.7, 610, you're only shot at getting in was if you had recently saved the world or something. Just out of curiosity, how was he unique enough to pull it off?

Minority candidate, NCAA I basketball starter, West Point, army officer, was part of the initial invasion of Iraq, deployed again for a second year, outstanding extracurriculars, and had great essays and recommendations.

He also got into NYU, but not into Harvard or Wharton.

Hi guys,
I seldom share any news.
But just for your statistical research:

CBS was the first BS to respond to my application, and also the first one to drop me down.
My profile:
GMAT 720, Toefl iBT 111, 12 years of international experience at really large companies etc. etc.
Converted GPA 3,97 out of 4 at one university I graduated from, and 3,67 at another one.

Actually, I have never saved the Earth, and I have also never established any successful company...

But would I then ever need any MBA education?
...

Somebody punch Linda Meehan in the face!

I am normally a peace loving guy, but the CBS "not my interview invitation" spam has gotten out of control. Seriously, I just checked my email, and this is AT LEAST the 4th non-interview related news item that I have received, each of which has caused my heart to skip a beat as I wait anxiously for an interview. She must be stopped at all costs.
