I just received an invite to interview! I'm very happy to know my profile is competitive enough to get me this far, had almost given up hope.

But I was unable to find any interviewer in my area, in my whole country even. Could anyone tell me what happens in a case like mine?

Complete: 1/27 (I believe the last day before you were to call to confirm all materials were received)
Interview: 2/15

I am doing an on-campus interview and as others have said, the only day available is Saturday, Feb 27th.

Sure.

> Top 5 US public state engineering school, 3.45 GPA
> 6 years W/E for a boutique technology strategy consulting firm (US and international projects) - progressed from consultant > senior consultant > project manager
> ECs:
- volunteer consultant for 3 years for a well-known non-profit consulting agency in Chicago
- fund raiser/leadership position for a non-profit which connects cancer survivors to cancer patients
- IT strategy/system architecture advisor for local small businesses
- Triathlete/adventure race runner/coach and mentor for younger triathletes
- lots of travel/crazy adventures :) - one of my powerpoint slides was a world map which highlighted all countries visited and a map key (little icons for each activity) for activities performed ie. surfing, sky diving, scuba diving, skiing/snowboarding, triathlons/adventure races....camel racing (I had a little camel icon :lol:) - threw this one in there when I worked in Qatar, hahaha...thought the adcoms would get a laugh out of this.
> one of my recommenders (my company's old CEO) is an alumni and frequent guest speaker and NVC panel judge for the Polsky Center (looking to go into high tech entrepreneurship)...every little bit counts, right ? :-D

Just got an interview invite...was starting to sweat a little!

For all those assuming a correlation between complete date and invite status, don't! My app went complete way back on Jan 14. Feels like a lot more than a month ago...

Congrats contestant1 and anyone else that got an IV this morning. I didn't but looking back at 2009's thread, there may have been some IVs that went out the day before the mid-decision date at 4PM CST?

Hoping for that again but if not good luck all on your IVs and final decisions!

anyone attending the finance chat today?

update - this is kinda disconcerting. some guy gets to ask six questions, and my two questions never show up. i simply asked how their student managed fund was ramping up, and if the chat participants are doing anything in the frontier countries. both questions sound finance/booth/moderator related to me.

Not sure how anyone attends those chats, considering almost all applicants should be busy working at 11am central when they host them. I would be curious to see what they're about, or if someone has been keeping transcripts of these chats.

I've attended one or two because I am on the East coast, meaning that the chats occur during my lunch hour. I'm mostly working at my desk during this time anyway, but I can open up the chat window and check in from time to time.

WHAT?! Why am I even applying to Chicago?

I hope his curriculum includes:

1. How to Change Your Name from Something Douchey to Something Douchier
2. How to Make and Sell Terrible Music
3. How to Wear Sunglasses Indoors
4. How to Fill the Entire Time-Space Continuum with Your Own Ego

I also hope his school is televised as a reality TV show, like Making of the Band or whatever that show was. Someone sign me up for P Diddy's business school, stat!
