But on the flip side i am willing to do 24x7 as i am on leave till 02 Jun 07.

I would suggest you take more time to prepare in a more confortable schedule. You may burn out. I know you are probably thinking that you have a strong spirit and that you should be able to crack GMAT in this short period of time, based on [insert past accomplishment here]. Guess what? Most people who score 7XX are pretty bright/focused/willing to sacrifize people to begin with, so don't think you are better than most and will not need to go through a similar process. I don't know you so you may still pull it off, but odds aren't in your favor.

Suggestions: make sure you understand what's going on. Don't just tackle thousands of exercises as if you were betting on Roulette. Tackle 10 - 20 exercises at a time (time yourself, first for 3 or 4 minutes and then adjust to 1 or 2 when you are confortable). Then spend about double the time reviewing each exercise, not only the ones you got wrong but also the ones you got right. LEARN FROM MISTAKES!

Once you've done a reasonable amount of exercises (maybe 100 or could be 1000 depending on how much you've learnt), tackle a GPrep (full mock exam, timed). Then continue to practice and tackle another one. When you are confortable with your Gprep scores, schedule the test and go for it.

Hope it helps. L.

Hey L,

Thanks for the suggestions. I think what you said is perfectly right. Well my take on this issue is... Within the limits, i would like to work myself to gain the best. Actually, after the said 30 days i will have to return to Active duty... and then to dedicate regular amount of time is not really possible.
So, i think i will take up the challenge... will definetly use your suggestions while i prepare. Lets see...

Aye Aye
Ravi.

Something that works for me is applying relaxation techniques, which help U stay focused - avoid wasting precious seconds on test time. The whole exam is (much) more a matter of endurance and grueling practice than an intellectual-academic exercise.

Hi There,

I completely agree with what you said.. i mean i really have a torrid time sitting that long and still concentrating. I feel it more when i start doing my RC. RC alone is accounting to almost 50% of my mistakes :( in Verbal.Especially when you hit upon one of those long Management Theories etc..

As i said, will keep the stuggle on... Thanks.
