Sorry to hear yellow jacket - at least you got a WL @ Chicago - they dinged me before I could say hello..

Texas we are both in the same situation. Any ideas why they put us on WL despite the interview ? I always thought an NYU interview is almost an 80% chance of making it in.

a delayed april fool's...

I got a pop up email from NYU and was thinking it was a status change but they told me they were missing my transcript. What I think happened is they didn't match my maiden name with my married name and misplaced it. Hope this doesn't delay my decision.

Thanks for the nice comments about the profile. If I told you where I worked, you'd also probably roll over. My work experience is truly unique and I think I'd be a great addition to any b-school classroom.

Sadly, I have no idea what they are looking for! :( Didn't even get the opportunity to represent in an interview.

I've been questioning what they want myself. I sent them a love letter yesterday - lets see if they see my love. Although, I am getting more and more inclined to reapp across the board next year even if I get a Stern admit. Me no likey stern anymore :(

Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I am planning to apply for full-time admission in fall 2009 and am currently interested in both NYU and Columbia (post-MBA goals of IB, NYC location, brand, etc). I have heard that most people only "fit" with one or the other school but not both. For those of you who applied to both or at least considered/visited both, did you find this to be true? Or, did you feel like you would fit well at either?

FYI...I do plan to visit in the fall, but I am just trying to get a feel for them both now. Thanks.

I applied to both and I think I would fit at both. I'm curious to see what others say about the "fit" though.
