Hi again,

Yes, I can see how the money could be an issue… :? But Cambridge MBA is a very good programme even regardless of its financing options.

As for those ambiguous opinions about IE – and I’ve heard a lot of them, too – there could be several possible reasons for this. First, IE has several MBA programmes, of which International MBA (English) is ‘the one’: good teaching, good students, good opportunities etc. However, there are other courses at the same school, even an Online MBA, and it seems that their reputation is not always on par with this ‘flagship’ MBA. Second, there were some rumours that IE is too ranking-oriented and thus seeks all possible ways to present the data about its MBA in the most positive light (read – meddles with numbers)… but then, it’s not that they were caught lying, and as for trying to market their programmes – well, which school doesn’t?

Regarding AACSB accreditation – I wouldn’t worry too much: AMBA is more MBA-specific (as opposed to ‘b-school-specific’). Also, historically, AACSB seems to have been connected mainly with American schools: it was previously known as ‘American Association etc’. So, the absence of ‘triple accreditation’ is not too serious a problem, IMHO.

Good luck! Perhaps, we will meet someday, if you decide to go to Cambridge :)

decided to go to Cambridge and pay the deposit.

Can anyone tell me whether the Judge MBA open opportunities in other parts of the world and not only in the UK. Can Australia, the US, Latin America (understand that the network there is smaller than that of IE or IESE), be possible destinations considering the Judge network?

Thanks!

I’m a bit biased here – still, can’t but admit that you’ve made the right decision 8-) . And it seems you’re the only gmatclubber at Cambridge this year.

As for your question: of course there are chances, although maybe not great – you may check the latest career placement report here. North America + Other give 13% - not too much, but still something.

Unfortunately, I myself don’t know any particulars; perhaps, you could mail some current students or alumni with this question. Also, it may be worth writing to the admissions and ask them to put you in contact with the students from a particular country or with alumni who went to work in Latin America, US or Australia.

Good luck with your college placement and with finding an accommodation – it can be hard that late though!

Hi

Congrats on the admitions

I do happen to know several ppl from IE, since I work in a Spanish firm in Southam. What I have heard is that IE would be a nice choice if you are aiming to build a network in Latin America, Spain and Brazil. Most of your classmates will be from those countries.

If you are thinking of having a broader network in the UK, Australia, and non-spanish speaking countries, i would try Cambridge.

I hope this helps.

Hi Boeinz !

considering to apply to Judge too... But I think I'll be just on time... Gmat to retake and only a score for TOEIC (not TOEFL)...
Have you written your essays ? The second one is a bit annoying..
