If line y = 3x+2 contains the point (r,s) then
s= 3r+2 must be true i.e 3r+2-s = 0 must be true.
St1: Either 3r+2-s = 0 or 4r+9-s =0 : INSUFF
St2: Either 3r+2-s = 0 or 4r-6-s =0 : INSUFF
Combined:
Either
3r+2-s = 0 is true
OR
Both 4r+9-s = 0 and 4r-6-s =0 are true. This is impossible because 4r-s can not be equal to -9 or 6 at the same time.
So 3r+2-s = 0 is true. Hence (r,s) lies on line y = 3x+2
