Hi anmolbehera,

While you would have to wait 16 days between taking 2 GMATs at Testing Facilities, you do not appear to have to wait between taking the GMAT at a facility and taking the GMAT online (there have been plenty of site members who have posted about taking the At-home and Traditional GMATs within days of one another, so GMAC is clearly not enforcing any rules in that regard). That having been said, planning to take those 2 attempts so close to one another is potentially a bad idea. If you underperform on your first attempt (regardless of 'where' you take it), then you will need time to analyze your results, hone your skills and taking additional practice CATs/mocks before you should even consider retesting. In addition, the 'format' of the two options is different enough that you would need time to properly adapt to the 'other' format before you took it (for example, while you get an 8-minute break between the Quant and Verbal sections when taking the GMAT at a Test Center, you do NOT have that option on the At-home GMAT, so you have to go straight from the Quant to the Verbal when taking that Test).

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi ammolbehera,

If you decide you want to take the in-person GMAT after taking the online GMAT, then you would not have to wait the full 16 days. Although I’m not sure of when you plan to take the online GMAT, if you need any advice regarding your study plan, feel free to reach out.
