Hearing from the recent test takers about the brutal algorithm in quants. Sort of worried since I don’t have a particularly heavy quant background since I work in creative industry.
What should be my course of action to cover up an average quant score? focusing on VA and DI? What’s the maximum I should do in quants to get an average score, basically how should I approach the entire thing?
My last mock Q80 V84 DI82 645.
Since verbal is my sorta stronger suit, I plan to take it first.
Majority of the posts I have seen on this platform are from math scholars who score the highest on quants.
Can someone with average quants score share their experience of getting a 655+ score? That could help as well.

Since you are looking for advice on improving your GMAT quant score, here is a process you can follow to improve those skills. I recommend utilizing topical practice for quant.
For example, let’s say that you want to practice Number Properties. You can do so by answering 50 or more questions just from Number Properties: LCM, GCF, units digit patterns, divisibility, remainders, etc.
After each problem set, thoroughly analyze your incorrect questions. For example, if you got a remainder question wrong, ask yourself why. Did you make a careless mistake? Did you not properly apply the remainder formula? Was there a concept you did not understand in the question?
By carefully analyzing your mistakes, you will be able to fix your weaknesses efficiently and, in turn, improve your GMAT quant skills. Number Properties is just one example; follow this process for all quant topics.

Do TTP dude. Amazing for Q practice. The difficulty level gets harder progressively. It’s like building a muscle from weak to strong. I did it before one of my attempts and got a Q90.
