Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have done a lot of research on the following Executive MBA programs in Canada: - Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA - Executive MBA Americas, a Cornell-Queen's Partnership - Rotman One-Year Executive MBA I have applied to all three and am currently waiting to hear back from the admission committees. I've been going back and forth on all three of these programs and I seem to land on a different preference every day, so I'm hoping to get your feedback in terms of the best option to select if I'm admitted into all 3 programs and have to make a selection. A little about myself: I'm located in Ottawa, ON, work in Finance in the tech industry and I did my undergrad in the HBA program at Ivey in 2008 (that is the reason I have not listed Ivey in the options above, I want a new experience). I plan to stay in Ottawa and within the tech sector long term after completing the EMBA. The MBA has been a personal interest and goal of mine for a long time, my career strategy and objectives are to strengthen my leadership skills, improve my ability to think strategically on a global level, open new doors in terms of networking opportunities and to help differentiate me in the job market amongst my peers. I'm currently in a mid-level management position and have an interest in moving into the C-Suite one day. I'm not concerned with the necessary travel, I'm most interested in attending the program that will open the most doors for me and help me achieve the goals and objectives noted earlier. I would recommend to go with Rotman.
Kellogg-Schulich is losing its value and reputation. The teachers are not competent enough and are totally vague in their grading. They are very rude and bossy in their culture.
Stay away from them.

I have both Rotman and Kellogg/Schulich shortlisted for Fall 2021 entry. Could you please elaborate on what you mean by your comment - it would provide me with a lot of insight. Are you currently on either of these programs?

Welcome to GMAT Club!

Does grading come into play in EMBA? Grades don't seem to matter in the FT Programs, so wondering how they fit into EMBA?
Can you elaborate more on this?

Kellogg-Schulich gives too much emphasis on grades, which makes no sense at all for a EMBA program.
The academic director will say, don't give stress too much on grades..... and he also says if you get more than 3 Cs, we would have to talk to you. You see what I mean..

All their professors are so vague in their markings, you will lose your mind and peace, stressing over these useless grades.
They take most of the questions from online.... and I was "really"... Is that all you got?

They don't give proper feedback on the exam scoring..

OVERALL -- it is just fighting for grades and googling for answers online and hope the prof understand what you write... That's about it..
Even though the answers will be same, the gradings will be different... we just have to imagine how????

I can't speak for the other two programs, as I don't know about them..

Hands down KS is the last in comparison with Cornell-Queen's vs Rotman
Please don't waste your money on KS.

I think for rotman have a global EMBA program which is cooperate with SDI business school in Italy, anyone know about this program? Also my friends graduate from Queens Cornell combined EMBA, they said this program is very good both for finance background or business background people. I am struggling on choosing between Queens Cornell or Rotman global EMBA, KS is already off my list, the admission people are not that nice. Personally I really like the rotman admission committees, super nice people.

Sorry, I have not heard of the Rotman-SDI EMBA
Something common among all EMBA's though (not just this one) is that they do not provide recruiting support, at least not to the extent with the FT programs, so you have to keep that in mind when you evaluate the value and opportunities. However, being in Toronto, I think you will have a strong network with Rotman being right there and having the people to network with.
