Long-time lurker, first time poster. Thanks in large part to the advice I received from this site, I have been admitted to the part-time programs at Schulich, Laurier, and Degroote and now have the task of choosing between them. Based on my research, if I were to decide only on the reputation of the schools alone I believe the choice should be obvious. However, other factors are a consideration for me.
First and foremost, the quality of the education is the most important to me. I am not looking to use my MBA to change careers, or even employers, so the knowledge I gain from the program is most important to me.
Second, since I will be working full-time while completing the program, is convenience. I am much closer to York than to Laurier's downtown Toronto program or to Burlington. However, I like the idea of attending classes on Friday evening and Saturdays at Laurier and having Sundays free.
I think in making the decision those two criteria, combined with the schools' reputations, are the most important deciding factors for me. If anyone could offer suggestions I would be most appreciative.
