Hi Upasana,
Thanks for the quick response. I kind of agree with what you are saying that taking too many practice tests is not a great idea, but what does one do when all the prep material is exhausted?. Most of the people on Gmatclub forum had infact adviced that the closest thing that can get to real gmat is the gmatprep and recommended taking it as many times as possible. Also Is there any technique for smart study that you can recommend. I would love to know how you improved from 570 to 720. If you could just give me a highlight on how you conducted your smart studies and a little more insight on your exam approach I would really appreciate it. My only area of concern is verbal at this point. I am not that worried about quant. As you can see from my post, I am weak in CR and RC and need to improve that. Trust me I have tried using all possible techniques taught by Manhattan, Newton, CR bible, but when it comes to application, I just find it hard to do so. Is there a way I can improve my interpretation skills.

Please do let me know as much as possible about your approach, resources, books, study material, timing. It would be really helpful.

Reply to message from Gmat pill - Thanks a lot for your response.

For CR assumption questions, I try the negation test, for weakener and strenghener, I find the assumption first and try linking the premises to the conclusion. But this strategy falls flat most of the times wen I come across complex passages regarding tax, or imports or something biology related.

For RC, I take a good 3 mins to understand the passage make notes about tone of passage , purpose , main idea etc. Then once I have mapped out everything, I go by my understanding of the passage and different elements of the passage.

My basics are strong in SC. I have gone through a lot of fundamentals posted by RON at the MGMAT forum and I rarely get a question wrong.

Thanks to you both again,
Apurva

Hi Zeke Lee,
Quite a few people have recommended me to use GMAT pill. I wanted to ask you- If I were to start GMAT pill , the entire prep time ( 5 pills ) and IR section prep would take how much time for prep? Is it really possible to jump from my score to 700's using this approach???

Thanks a lot,
Apurva

Also I will recommend you to go through https://www.amazon.com/Read-Better-Faster-Norman-Lewis/dp/0690015283

I guess you know all the strategies regarding sc, cr and rc. If you improve your reading speed as well as comprehension, i think you will certainly improve.

P.S: It seems you have practiced a lot. Take some time i.e 2 or 3 months don't touch any gmat material.
Hope it helps.

Hey Shadab,
Thanks a lot for sharing this info. It's refreshing seeing so much help offered already in a day. I have just one dilemma: Either to take the GMAT pill approach strengthen concepts and use them 100% on the final test after a month or so.... or to take a break from GMAT improve reading , etc as you suggest. Both these approaches look reasonable. Will give it some more thought .

Thanks again,
Apurvaa
