Hi,
I'm a Columbia Law School student, and I plan to cross-register for a few CBS courses. I want to take Capital Markets and Investments (which is a prereq. to upper-level finance courses) next year, but looking at syllabi, I don't think I have the quantitative/analytical skill set for the class.
Anyone have any advice about how to acquire the necessary skills? According to the CBS website, CBS doesn't let non-CBS students cross-register for the "core" courses that would get me there (Managerial Statistics, Business Analytics, and Corporate Finance).
I will have taken courses at the Law School in Corporations, Corporate Finance, and Financial Statement Analysis and Interpretation, so I'll have a pretty good knowledge of general financial concepts and corporate law...but none about how to model, etc.
Thanks in advance.
